It’s with a heavy heart that Wildeye says goodbye to it’s founder, Piers Warren. After 20 years and 2000 students Piers is has decided to focus on his other work and has passed the reins of Wildeye onto myself. By way of introduction I’m Simon Beer, if you’ve been on a Wildeye camera or intro course in the last 14 years then our paths would probably have crossed.
I’m incredibly excited to continue the work Piers started in the 1990s and whilst realising I have huge boots to fill I can’t wait to share some of the new courses that Wildeye will be rolling out for 2019.
The biggest change so far has to be the website, new for Christmas 2018. We’ve added this blog so we can share a bit more information about our courses, our past students and of course ourselves, the tutors who work together to make Wildeye the amazing collaboration that it is.
More than anything else I can’t wait to meet the new students who will join us next year for our first course of 2019 – the Introduction to Wildlife Filmmaking weekend.
